Inter-Ion offers a wide range of industrial powder coating and liquid coating solutions designed to meet the performance requirements of virtually any industry or application. Whether you need a standard commercial coating or a custom-engineered solution, our experienced team works closely with customers to select the ideal coating system for maximum durability, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, and long-term performance.

Our capabilities include advanced fluoropolymer coatings such as PTFE (Teflon®), PFA, Halar® (ECTFE), and Kynar® (PVDF), which provide exceptional non-stick properties, chemical resistance, corrosion protection, and low coefficients of friction. For high-temperature and wear-resistant applications, we offer specialty coatings including PEEK and Ryton® (PPS).

Inter-Ion also applies a variety of thermoplastic and thermoset coatings, including Nylon, PVC, Polyurethane, Urethane, Polyester, Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE), and Epoxy. These coatings provide excellent abrasion resistance, impact protection, weatherability, electrical insulation, and corrosion protection for demanding industrial environments.

Our knowledgeable chemical engineers and coating specialists assist with coating selection, specification review, and process optimization to ensure every solution is tailored to the application. By evaluating operating conditions, chemical exposure, and performance requirements, Inter-Ion delivers coating systems that enhance product reliability, extend equipment life, and reduce maintenance costs. With decades of experience and a commitment to quality, we provide dependable coating solutions that help our customers achieve lasting results.

Coatings

Nylon

Nylon Powder Coating is used in a wide range of application from surgical trays to brackets for the electrical utilities industry. Inter-Ion is one of the few companies approved for Nylon coating parts the require Vacuum Autoclave Sterilization.

TGIC Polyester

Polyester TGIC powders are exterior durable coatings that offer good mechanical and chemical resistance properties. These coatings will also cure at lower temperatures than the standard polyester urethane. Polyester TGIC products are available in General Industrial or Super Durable platforms.

Epoxy

Two part epoxy coatings provide a tough, protective coating with excellent hardness.
They are often used in industrial and automotive applications since they are more heat resistant than latex-based and alkyd-based paints. Also available as acrylic modified epoxy, epoxy-polyester hybrid.

HALAR

Halar Powder Coating, also known as ECTFE Coating, is designed to provide chemical resistance in heavy duty corrosion application. Halar is often used on processing equipment in the food, chemical and petrochemical industries. It also provides very good UV, impact, abrasion and wear resistance.

PTFE

PTFE is a fluoropolymer most known for its lubricity and non-stick properties. Very few solid substances will permanently adhere to the PTFE coating, making clean up quick and easy. PTFE offers abrasion, chemical and corrosion resistance, good dielectric strength as well as being hydrophobic and oleophobic.

Kynar

Also known as PVDF(Polyvinylidene fluoride) is a highly non-reactive thermoplastic fluoropolymer. It is a specialty plastic used in applications requiring high purity as well as resistance to solvents, acids and bases. Kynar is impact, abrasion and wear resistant. Kynar is flexible and has strong piezoelectricity. Kynar is a low-density fluoropolymer.

PEEK

Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is regarded as one of the highest performing materials and is considered an advanced biomaterial. PEEK is one of the few plastics that is compatible with ultra-high vacuum applications. PEEK has high temperature performance. PEEK is chemical and corrosive resistant and PEEK is self-lubricating.
